But former India opener Sunil Gavaskar is of the opinion that there isn’t much to make of the signal that the batter made. In fact, he went on to add there is a lot more games for him to perform including the Sydney ODI. “Virat Kohli isn’t the sort of player who will give up. He isn’t the one who can be ousted with a 0 & 0. He would leave on a high,” Gavaskar said on Sports Tak.

There is Sydney left, and then there is South Africa series in India. There are a lot of ODIs for him, and there is 2027 World Cup for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma,” he added.

Meanwhile, Team India has lost the series for now. The batting has been a struggle for now, while the Aussies have been way better. The first match, the hosts won by seven wickets, while in the second, they went on to win by two wickets. The Indian batter seemed to struggle with the pacers as well.
